First Trip Into The World

Today is going to be our first trip into this big crazy world. We have a doctors apointment today with the pediatrician. Keep ya updated. For now its eat,sleep and rest. Love ya'll!! Will, Kelly, Liam

Update: Little Liam did very good on the car ride over. He never made one squeak. Doctors appointment went very well. Little Liam scored a perfect A! Doctor Bryan said he was looking good, at a ripe 5 days. Heart, lungs, weight are all looking just fine. Found some intresting art in the parking lot. Thought I would share. Makes me hungry. Ha! Ha!

The First Day at Home

The first nights sleep was a little nerve racking. Getting used to a very hungry baby is a mind blowing experience, but very gratifying once you get your head wrapped around it. Little Liam has been nursing well, tyring to get the routine established. Figured this would come with time. Everyone has been such a blessing, and the help has been tremendous. 25 Hours Later

A few more pictures that I wanted all to see. Mommy is doing very well, she has already gotten up on her own, and is moving around great. Thanks all for the continued support. We love yuns!!

The Birth

Due to the baby being breech we had a c-section scheduled for Tuesday. Mom tried for 5 weeks to get him to turn-everything from chiropractor to frozen peas in his head to breech tilts on the ironing board. When nothing seemed to work, she resolved to her instinct that there was some reason only he knew of that he was keeping his head up. Sure enough, the cord was wrapped around him 3 times and had a huge knot in it. That left no room for getting in to proper position! Little Liam decided that he wanted his own birthday. After a morning of labor, which was not intended, and a quick trip to the doctor, they figured out that we were 8 centimeters dilated and it was go time! We hopped in the car and made a mad dash for the emergency room. We left Biltmore Obgyn at 1:55, we made it to the hospital by 2:02. We rushed straight through the emergency room right up to labor and delivery. Everyone was expecting us, they already had everything ready. They got us dressed for surgery and away we went. By 2:50 little William Hood Rice aka Liam was born unto this world. Wow what a bundle of joy and love. I know this may be a little one sided, but damn he is pretty handsome. Mommy and baby are doing just fine as is daddy. Thanks everyone for the continued support and love during this amazing time.
